Lahore: On the instructions of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Zahid Akhtar Zaman, development work has been initiated in LDA City Phase I, according to a news source. The LDA Engineering Wing has started development work on the 300-feet wide boulevard in Mouza Sidhar.
The Engineering Wing is also busy identifying land for construction of 150 feet wide road in LDA City Phase I. Meanwhile, the industrial units falling in Mouza Sidhar are also being offered alternate land.
In the current fiscal year, PKR 2 billion was reserved for the project’s Phase I, which comprises of five sectors. According to the PC-1 prepared by the LDA, PKR 30 billion will be spent on the construction of roads, laying of sewerage pipes, electrification work, and related infrastructural developments.
According to the news report, the LDA has also instructed its development partners to speed up the land acquisition process for the fast track completion of LDA City Phase I.
